You Saved My Marriage

This is my favorite thing to hear from a patient!

When intercourse is painful, it can put a lot of stress on BOTH people in the marriage. The person with the issue is in pain – which significantly decreases pleasure with intercourse. The other spouse may be frustrated – some are more patient than others – and they may interpret their spouse’s decrease interest in intimacy as a lack of interest in them personally or decreased interest in the marriage. This could not be farther from the truth! The affected spouse wants this part of the relationship – but doesn’t want to be in pain. Pelvic floor therapy can help eliminate the pain – allowing for painfree intercourse – which helps both people in a marriage.
